THE VULCINO ALMONDS
Treasure of the Maremma
Our almonds are born in the lands of Latium’s Maremma region, where the first almond trees were planted in 2017.
The volcanic soil of this area is rich in minerals and the Mediterranean climate that characterizes it, contribute to the production of high quality sweet almonds.
Today there are more than 60 hectares of almond groves in Maremma. Among them is our Vulcino almond grove.
THE CHARACTERISTICS
Vulcino almonds are tasty, rich in health benefits, including vitamin E, antioxidants, magnesium, fiber, protein, and healthy fats.

THE STORY
Almonds originated in Iran and surrounding countries, and were imported to Europe by “Silk Road” explorers in the period between 600 and 900 AD.
They arrived in Italy with the Phoenicians and Greek colonists. Charlemagne contributed to the spread of the almond tree because it was considered a plant that gave a complete food with stimulating and healing properties.
